Founded in 1889, the Netherlands national football team, also known as Het Nederlands Elftal, represents the Netherlands in international football competitions. The team's first international match was held in 1905 against Belgium, resulting in a 1-4 defeat.
UEFA European Championship History
The Netherlands has a rich history in the UEFA European Championship. Despite reaching the semi-finals five times, the team has unfortunately failed to advance past this stage, losing in four semi-final matches.
