2024 24 Hours of Le Mans: What to Expect
Return of Big Names in Hypercar Class
The 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place from 12-16 June 2024, and it promises to be an exciting event with the return of some big-name manufacturers in the Hypercar class. Toyota, Peugeot, and Ferrari will all be vying for victory in the top class, while the LMP2 and GTE classes will also feature strong competition.
Schedule of Events
Wednesday, 12 June
The 62 cars entered in the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans will return to the track today for the first time since the race was held in 2022. The day will include two practice sessions, giving the teams a chance to fine-tune their cars and get ready for the race.
Thursday, 13 June
The third and final practice session will take place on Thursday, followed by qualifying. The qualifying session will determine the starting grid for the race, with the fastest cars starting at the front of the field.
Friday, 14 June
The 24 Hours of Le Mans will start on Friday at 4:00 p.m. CEST. The race will be run over 24 hours, with the first car to cross the finish line after 24 hours being declared the winner.
Saturday, 15 June
The race will continue on Saturday, with the cars running through the night. The final hours of the race will be the most exciting, as the teams push their cars to the limit in an attempt to win.
Sunday, 16 June
The 24 Hours of Le Mans will conclude on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. CEST. The winning car will be crowned, and the podium ceremony will take place.
Support Races
In addition to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, there will also be a number of support races held over the weekend. These races will include the Road to Le Mans, which is the flagship race on the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup calendar.
